Hey Guys, I just wanted to give everyone a heads up about the future of tornado chat. With the untimely passing of our good friend Andy, As of Oct 1, 2012, Andy’s sites FindTheTornado.com and TornadoChat.com were set to go offline. However, It was his desire to have this site grow and be one of the main go to places for severe weather chasers, enthusiasts, spotters, or casual weather watchers to chat and discuss current, past, or future weather related events.So with the help of Kory Hartman, Gary Christensen and Andy’s father, Greg Gabrielson, we were able to keep TornadoChat.com up and running, hoping to build it into what Andy desired it to be in memory of him. However, we were unable to get in to keep the original forum page with the existing users, so we made a new and expanded one. You will have to register again on the new site page. We were able to bring back Andy’s old chat room as well.
Starting May 1st, 2012, we will redirect TornadoChat.com to this new page. you can go now and get a preview and sign up at TornadoChat.net. We are still working out a few bugs that we are experiencing with internet explorer, but the site works fine on firefox and google chrome. Lets keep this going and build it into what he dreamed it could become in memory of our friend Andy.
